It is a thrill to introduce a very special franchise team.
Muoy Ly came to Australia in 1980 with her family from Cambodia and Paul from China in 1989. As new immigrants to Australia they would have faced immense difficulties with the change in culture and the change in language. In Muoy Ly’s case she supported her siblings and her mother, which enabled her brother to achieve a university double degree in Architecture and for her sister also to achieve a University degree. In China Paul had worked as an electrical engineer designing television and computers, he headed a large organisation and was responsible for over 1,400 staff.
Muoy Ly has an amazing story to tell. Born in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime, she witnessed appalling atrocities, even the death of her father, shot before her eyes. Eventually Muoy Ly and her family escaped to Thailand where they were placed in a refugee camp, only to find their way back home taking only tiny, tiny steps to avoid landmines. Once again, Muoy Ly’s young widowed mother and her sisters and brothers (six children altogether) escaped to Thailand, this time being successfully repatriated to Australia where Muoy Ly’s uncle was a resident. Stories such a Muoy Ly’s and Paul’s do not stop once they arrived in Australia. It is an ongoing story of love, commitment, gratitude and loyalty.
Paul and Muoy Ly married in 1990 and have two children Jennifer 13 years and Cameron 9 years.
Muoy Ly and Paul purchased a Bizzi Beez Residential Cleaning Franchise system in July 2001. Both had previously worked in factories and had made a decision to own their own business where they were able to earn incomes far in excess of their expectations. They have managed the contract for the Freedom Store at MacQuarie and receive many letters of appreciation and admiration from their customers. They took the initiative to write to all their clients asking them to rate their service. The outstanding response from all of the clients showed overwhelmingly that their clients were devoted to them both personally and professionally for their excellent work.
In 2004 they were awarded the High Honour of Franchise of the Year for their exemplary work. Paul and Muoy Ly place a huge emphasis on developing outstanding relationships with their customers – they exchange recipes, they make their customers feel special, they exchange ideas and advice with their customers.
Paul and Muoy Ly have a wonderful philosophy – they feel many of their clients are wealthy but have poor health and not necessarily ‘happy’. Paul and Muoy Ly believe that happiness is the most important thing, that will give long life and success. They enjoy the friendship of their clients and ‘have learnt a lot from our clients’, they enjoy holidays with their children and above all they bring to our franchise network a wonderful solidarity, a pride in their work, they show courage and determination beyond expectations. We salute them for their wonderful efforts and we are blessed that Australia is able to welcome newcomers like Paul and Muoy Ly – people who have made a tremendous contribution to our franchise network and our country as well.
Jennifer loves basketball – she is also an excellent student.
Cameron e loves all sports but in particular swimming, cricket and AFL. Both have consistently received rewards for excellent efforts at school.
